To the brothers and sisters at Resurrection Ministries,
My wife and I are looking forward to becoming a part of your church family.
I am especially thankful for the opportunity to serve  as the director of outreach  at your church.

I first met my wife Janice at Denver Seminary where she earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology. Later she picked me up while I was hitchhiking outside the seminary and we’ve been cruising down the road of life together ever since. Last week we celebrated our 30th anniversary!

God has given us three children who have turned into three adults. Our oldest daughter Haley is a school teacher. She’s married and has a daughter of her own. They live in Oakley. Our son Jesse, has taught English at a university in Saudi Arabia for the last two years. He aspires to be a writer. He just needs an employer that will aspire with him. Our youngest daughter just graduated from Bible College in Chicago and is pursuing a degree in nursing. She currently is living with her mother and father.

For the first couple years after we were married Janice and I both served as family therapists working for the state of Nebraska. We then moved to Colorado where I worked as a pastor for several years before moving to Rhode Island where I served as an associate pastor at church for a decade. We have spent the last 15 years living in Northern California. Most of that time that time I workd in a church in Pleasanton California, serving as in a variety of different roles.
Reaching people far from Christ and bringing them into the family of God has long been a passion of mine.
I’m excited about the possibilities as we team together with the congregation at Resurrection Ministries to reach this goal.
In His service,
Jay Ashcraft
